Seattle – Washington Policy Center (WPC), the state’s premier public policy research think tank, elected two new members to its Board of Directors.
Roger Bowlin of Chelan serves on WPC’s Eastern Washington Advisory Board. He is the founder and President of R.W. Bowlin Investment Solutions, Inc., in Kirkland. His firm provides investment solutions through various opportunities in real estate, marketable equities, fixed income, equipment leasing, asset-backed notes and energy. Roger is a graduate of the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business and an active volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America.
“I’m honored to serve our great state through Washington Policy Center,” Roger Bowlin said. “I share WPC’s adherence to the foundational principles of free enterprise, respect for private property rights and a defined, limited role of government. WPC is essential to educating thought leaders, policymakers, and citizens of our state.”
Randy Talbot left his position as CEO of Symetra Financial in 2010 and formed Talbot Financial LLC. He served as President of Safeco Life beginning in 1998, and after profitably growing the company, Randy led the management team through a sales process, and ultimately helped raise over 1.3 billion of equity and debt, and in 2004, emerged as Symetra Financial, an independent Life company. After successfully navigating the financial crisis, and significantly growing both assets and earnings, Randy led the company through the first successful IPO in the new decade.
“I am honored and excited to join Washington Policy Center’s Board,” Randy said. “I have observed the increasing pace of progress this organization has made in influencing public policy to create a more positive direction for our state’s future. It’s a great time to pitch in and help move the effort forward.”
