By now, you've likely heard about the new income tax, created by Senate Bill 6346, which was signed into law by Governor Ferguson this year and creates a 9.9% tax on household wages (and certain other income) exceeding $1 million. An initiative to repeal this tax has qualified for the November ballot, and you may be wondering what that means for you.

Washington Policy Center's Budget and Tax Director, Ryan Frost, will be hosting a series of office hours in various cities where he will share a brief presentation on SB 6346 and the implications of passing or repealing it. There will be ample time for Q&A, so bring any questions you have.

This is one of the most talked-about policy issues of 2026, and WPC hopes to cut through the noise and answer any questions you might have. Seats are limited for this free event, so reserve yours now and reach out to pthibaut@washingtonpolicy.org with any questions you may have.
