This forum will examine whether Washington state’s current policy environment supports businesses and workers — and whether those goals are sometimes in tension.

The discussion will focus on real-world outcomes: Hiring ease, wages, flexibility, business formation, cross-state competitive advantages and disadvantages and worker opportunity.

We'll hear from a panel of experts from across the political spectrum with a wide variety of perspectives, including:

  • Mark Harmsworth, Washington Policy Center's Director for the Center for Small Business
  • State Representative Monica Jurado Stonier of the 49th Legislative District
  • State Representative April Berg of the 44th Legislative District
  • Elizabeth New, Washington Policy Center's Director for the Center for Worker Rights
  • Moderator Renee Radcliff Sinclair, President and CEO of TVW
