Unlock Scholarships for Washington K-12 Students: Urge Gov. Ferguson to Take Action Now

Thanks to the country’s first-ever federal tax-credit scholarship program, the door is open for nearly every K-12 student in our state to access scholarships that pay for educational expenses—but only if Governor Ferguson opts our state in. Taxpayers can receive dollar-for-dollar credits worth up to $1,700 against their federal income taxes for scholarship donations. Scholarships can help pay for school supplies, tutoring, transportation, special education services, after-school programs, private school tuition, and much more. The governor has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to extend educational choice to all Washington schoolchildren—at no additional cost to the state. Parents can pay for educational supplies and services that best meet their child’s needs, and generous federal tax credits help make our state more affordable. The federal tax credit scholarship program is a win-win for Washington, but without Governor Ferguson’s leadership, those tax dollars will go to students in other states. Let’s put Washington students first! Tell Governor Ferguson to unlock these scholarships and ensure every family has real options for their child’s future.
