Seattle – Michael Ennis, Director of the Center for Transportation at Washington Policy Center, will be speaking at a special field listening session of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee in Vancouver on Monday. Congressman John L. Mica (R-FL), Chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, will be moderating the listening session, which is open to the public.
Michael is participating at the request of Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler, who organized the listening session so citizens, stakeholders, and experts can offer input on the upcoming transportation reauthorization bill. Congressional debate will take place later this year and the bill would authorize funding for the federal share of the nation’s infrastructure projects, including projects in Washington state.
“Washington Policy Center has established itself as an advocate for effective, cost-efficient government in Washington state,” said Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler. “I actively sought its participation in this transportation listening session because now more than ever we need ideas on how to do more with less to meet our region’s transportation needs.”
