Today we release the second video in our series on stewardship of natural resources by tribes in Washington state, highlighting the management of wolves and wildlife by the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation.

Columbus Day and 1492 have become metaphors for the global influence of shared knowledge and science and the Anthropocene. It is also a day to think about tribal stewardship and how natural resources were managed pre-settlement, and the important role salmon, forests, and wildlife play in tribal cultures. Both of these influences are evident in tribal stewardship today.

You can see both videos here.
