Bob Tippett Elected to Washington Policy Center's Board of Directors

Seattle – Washington Policy Center (WPC) has elected Tri-Cities business owner Robert (Bob) Tippett to its Board of Directors. This is the organization’s first board member from the Tri-Cities area.

Bob Tippett is president and owner of Tippett Company in Tri-Cities, a third generation family business founded in 1968.  The company’s diverse interests include commercial investments, farm management, real estate land development, financial consulting, and real estate brokerage.  He has also served on the Boards of Tri-Cities Economic Development Council (TRIDEC), Pasco Chamber of Commerce, Columbia Trust Bank, and the Association of Washington Business.

Prior to being elected to its Board of Directors, Bob served on WPC’s Eastern Washington Advisory Board.

“Washington Policy Center is doing some of the best non-partisan analysis of public policy in the entire country,” Tippett said.  “The citizens of this country are at a most critical time where we cannot afford to enact public policy which is driven by poor research and misplaced public sentiment. I believe that WPC will continue to be an invaluable asset to help influence visionary, sensible and workable public policy.”

“Bob has been a close friend of Washington Policy Center for many years, and his help has been instrumental in our growth in Eastern Washington,” said WPC President Dann Mead Smith.  “We are excited to be working with him even closer to advance our shared goals of providing sound public policy research and innovative solutions to our state’s policy challenges, specifically as we open a full-time office in Eastern Washington this fall.”

Washington Policy Center is a non-partisan, independent policy research think tank with offices in Seattle and Olympia.
