Seattle – Actor, economist, raconteur and author Ben Stein will join The Wall Street Journal writer Steve Moore at Washington Policy Center’s 2009 Annual Dinner on Tuesday, October 6th at the Seattle Sheraton. WPC’s Annual Dinner regularly draws more than 1,000 attendees and is one of the state’s largest gala dinners.
Pop icon Ben Stein has served as a trial lawyer, a speech writer and economic advisor for Presidents, a columnist for The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, a novelist, a screen writer, TV writer, syndicated columnist, writer of nonfiction books and expert witness in complex securities law cases. He is author of several books, including How to Ruin the United States of America (2008).
Steve Moore joined The Wall Street Journal as a member of the editorial board and senior economics writer in 2005. He is a frequent guest on many networks including Fox News and CNN, and recently published his fifth book, The End of Prosperity: How Higher Taxes Will Doom Our Economy - If We Let It Happen, with economist Arthur Laffer.
