Washington Policy On The Go - October 2021

Washington Policy On The Go is WPC's monthly virtual lunchtime event series in which we interview center directors and guests to inform you on the latest in Washington State policy. In this episode, we'll talk about WPC's election resources. Center Directors have published guides to key local issues that are likely to have statewide implications. We'll talk with WPC Center for Government Reform Director Jason Mercier about Yakima's proposal to ban local income taxes, Vice-President for Research Paul Guppy's Citizens' Guide to Bellingham's rent control proposal, and Center for Small Business Director Mark Harmsworth concerning Bellingham's proposal to interfere with workplace scheduling. We'll also get an update on the overall income tax battle and the case for a state sales tax rate cut.
