Bob Wallace, columnist over at the Puget Sound Business Journal, provides a fresh take on the controversial McCleary school funding decision.  He notes that the problematic court ruling, now in its fourth year, could be used to make us pay new state taxes, on top of the record amounts we pay now, to schools.  He points out that under the court’s McCleary scheme people would get no recognition for the local levies we pay now, so we would all end up paying twice for the same public services.  Mr. Wallace’s thoughtful column is well worth reading.  It can be found here.
