New co-host of CNN's 'Crossfire' coming to Eastern Washington for WPC's 2013 Annual Dinner

SPOKANE – When more than 1,600 gather in Seattle and Spokane on September 5th for this year’s Washington Policy Center Annual Dinner, they’ll be hearing from a Presidential Medal of Freedom Award Winner, a highly successful reform Governor, and the new co-host of CNN’s political program ‘Crossfire.’

“Our Annual Dinner has become one of the premier gala dinner events in the country,” explained WPC President Dann Mead Smith. “We are excited to host these three speakers who are some of the most important and innovative political and thought leaders in the nation at our event this year.”

Dr. Ben Carson and Gov. Scott Walker are the statewide keynote speakers for this year’s Annual Dinner. They’ll be joined by columnist and commentator S.E. Cupp, who was just named the co-host of CNN’s re-launch of ‘Crossfire.’ The program is one of the oldest and most well-known political shows on television. Cupp is also the host of RealNews on The Blaze.

“WPC is one of the best think tanks in the country, and I am delighted to be invited to participate in this incredible evening,” Cupp said.

The 2013 dinner takes place at the Seattle Sheraton and Spokane Convention Center on Thursday, September 5th at 7:00pm.

Cupp’s appearance will be exclusive to the Eastern Washington event, while participants at the WPC Annual Dinner on both sides of the state will be able to hear from Dr. Carson and Gov. Walker.

“When S.E. agreed to join us in Eastern Washington, we knew our Annual Dinner attendees were in for a treat,” explained WPC Eastern Washington director Chris Cargill. “This recent announcement by S.E. and CNN makes it even more special.”

Tickets for the Eastern Washington dinner are still available online at www.washingtonpolicy.org and by calling (509) 570-2384.
