Agenda:

Registration: 7:30 am

Breakfast and presentation: 8:00 am

Panel 1: 8:45 am

The first morning session will address climate change, the most significant environmental issue of the day. It will examine the latest scientific information available and how policies should adjust to meet this new information.

Break: 10:15 am

Panel 2: 10:30 am

The second session will explore how policymakers can use markets to improve environmental stewardship without falling prey to trendy but ineffective solutions such as “green” building standards for public buildings and biofuels.

Lunch: 12:00 pm with Keynote Speaker Bjørn Lomborg

We are pleased to have acclaimed author Bjørn Lomborg as our keynote speaker.
Mr. Lomborg’s best sellers include Cool It and The Skeptical Environmentalist. He was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time Magazine in 2004 and one of the "50 people who could save the planet" by the UK Guardian in 2008. The Daily Telegraph called The Skeptical Environmentalist "... probably the most important book on the environment ever written." In 2004 he started the Copenhagen Consensus, a conference of Nobel prize winning economists who come together to prioritize the best solutions for the world's greatest challenges.
