Former Congressman George Nethercutt will address a Washington Policy Center (WPC) luncheon today in Tacoma at the Sheraton Hotel. Mr. Nethercutt, who sits on the Washington Policy Center board of directors, will give an overview of the current Congressional Session and WPC president Daniel Mead Smith and vice president for research Paul Guppy will recap the 2005 Washington Legislative Session. The event will focus on how the recently completed Legislative Session will affect local businesses.
Nethercutt served as Congressman from the 5th District from 1994 until 2004 and served on the House Appropriations Committee, House Science Committee and the House National Security Subcommittee. Since 2004 he has joined with former Deputy Interior Secretary Steven Giles and Andrew Lundquist to form a new lobbying firm, Lundquist, Nethercutt & Griles in Washington, D.C.
