"Policy Guide for Washington State" Offers Over 150 Policy Recommendations

Seattle - Washington Policy Center, the state's premier public policy research organization, released "Policy Guide for Washington State," today. The Policy Guide book was first made available to candidates and legislators who attended a private legislative briefing event hosted by Washington Policy Center today in Bellevue.

"Policy Guide for Washington State" offers over 300 pages of current in-depth analysis of 58 public policy issues facing Washington citizens. Offering 152 policy recommendations , "Policy Guide for Washington State," is a resource for media, policymakers, candidates, business leaders, and Washington state citizens.

This updated second edition of the well-received publication "Agenda 2005: The Guide to Public Policy Issues in Washington State," has a similar format. Following is a brief overview of the bills considered during the 2005 and 2006 legislative sessions that included policy recommendations we proposed in Agenda 2005. 27 ideas were reflected in bills that passed one legislative chamber, and ten were signed into law by the governor.
