2013 Annual Dinner Events

Washington Policy Center held its largest Annual Dinner to date last September in both Seattle and Spokane. Over 2,000 guests from across the state joined us at the Seattle Sheraton and the Spokane Convention Center, attending the Seattle, Eastern Washington and Young Professionals dinner events.

This year, WPC honored Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker with the 2013 Columbia Award and Dr. Benjamin Carson with the 2013 Champion of Freedom Award, both of whom keynoted the gala.

At the event, Governor Walker thanked us for the important work we do in this state and “the inspiration [we give] to other think tanks around the country.” He continued by saying “[WPC] is incredibly helpful because good policy is good politics, and the politics should not come first, the good policy should and the rest will take care of itself.” We are encouraged by the Governor’s message as we continue to make a difference and increase our impact in our state!
