On October 25 & 26, 2012 Washington State Micro-enterprise Association will host the Entrepreneurship Symposium designed to focus on innovative approaches to address methods and resources to start, grow and expand business to create jobs and promote economic independence for individuals and their communities.
WSMA is excited to announce our two featured speakers for the Symposium:
Michael Shuman - economist, attorney, author and entrepreneur are among his many accomplishments. His most recent book is Local Dollars, Local Sense: How to Move Your Money from Wall Street to Main Street and Achieve Real Prosperity. He regularly helps communities analyze economic "leakages" and job-creation opportunities. Mr. Shuman is a dynamic, engaging and prolific speaker who has shared his wisdom both nationally and internationally.
Todd Greene - as vice president in the research department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, his responsibilities include providing leadership, strategic direction and oversight for the community and economic development division. Mr. Greene has held leadership roles in the private, government and educational sectors.
In addition to these two nationally recognized speakers, attendees will hear from representatives of FIELD at the Aspen Institute, Washington Policy Center, Washington State Department of Commerce and others.
