An Hour of Remembrance: Commemorating the 10th Anniversary of 9/11
To honor local heroism and service in the wake of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks against America, the George Nethercutt Foundation is organizing "An Hour of Remembrance," at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 11th, 2011, at the INB Performing Arts Center in downtown Spokane. All ages are invited to take part in this inspirational, uplifting event featuring a Color Guard; performances by live local musicians including the Spokane Gospel Choir; local boy and girl scout troops leading the Pledge of Allegiance; a dramatic multimedia commemorative presentation; local narrators, including former U.S. Representative George R. Nethercutt, Jr., Spokane Mayor Mary Verner, Fairchild AFB Commander Col. Paul Guemmer; Military Taps with a moment of silence and a stirring audience sing-along finish.
