Legislators introduce bill to toll Alaskan Way Viaduct

SB 6444 and its companion bill HB 2675, would add the central portion of State Route 99 in downtown Seattle as an eligible tolled facility.

The senate version is sponsored by two senators, Sen. Mary Margaret Haugen, a Democrat, and Sen. Joe Fain, a Republican. It is also scheduled for its first public hearing tomorrow in the Senate Transportation Committee at 3:30 pm.

Now the "brainless" in Olympia want to toll part of Hwy 99. We already pay an outrageous gasoline tax...and what is it for if not for the roads? Must ask the question, when are the citizens going to say enough is enough?
