The Kings of Climate Comedy

Stop me if you've heard this one before.

Three years ago, environmental activist and former board member of the Canadian Civil Liberties Union David Suzuki told an audience, referring to politicians who oppose his preferred climate policies, that we should "see whether there's a legal way of throwing our so-called leaders into jail because what they're doing is a criminal act." When asked if he thought jailing political opponents was appropriate, his spokespeople said he was just joking. Hilarious! Especially from a self-professed civil libertarian.

To add to the comedy, PI political "cartoonist" David Horsey published a cartoon last year where Mother Earth concludes that "these humans have got to go."

Stop, you're killing me!

Speaking of that, here is a video from the British climate action group 10:10. They called the video, written by British comedy writer Richard Curtis, "extremely funny." Take a watch and see what you think. They are already thinking of a comedic sequel called "Climate Opponents - Get Up Against the Wall."

Enviro-communism

This is absolutely un-funny. This is really what enviro-communists would like to do to those who don't fall into line with their primitive herd mentality. To simply murder your opposition is the way of communism and other forms of tyranny, e.g. Sadam Hussein, Osama Bin Laden, et. al.

The myth of human caused global climate change is really a lie to lead the gullible and ignorant down a cattle shoot to their own inevitable slaughter at the hands of those who simply seek power for themselves. Just look around the world and you'll see that environmental degradation and destruction is prominent in communist and tyrant ruled nations. Whereas the free and capitalist world has the cleanest environment.

This video is stupidly disgusting.

I think it was a joke

Please, educate yourself about environmental degradation. I have taken many courses on various ways that humans have contributed to climate change, and I really hope that my college degree wasn't for nothing. If it was a hoax, I really doubt that it would have gained as much political salience and attention that it has.

Additionally, I would prefer to be in a primitive herd than a modern individualistic society, where everyone looks out for their own best interest at the detriment of their fellow neighbor. Garret Hardin put it best; "Ruin is the destination toward which all men rush, each pursuing his own best interest in a society that believes in the freedom of the commons"

As to your last assertion, some free and capitalist nations have a cleaner environment due to democratic demand for a cleaner environment. If we didn't have such demand, protective policies never would have been put into place and we would still have deadly smog and flaming rivers (those actually happened).

Carbon emissions are invisible and affect everyone on Earth, the main reason that there is little demand for powerful legislation. People cannot see the problem and they cannot see the consequences, but they certainly can see how kick ass Hummer cars and million dollar yachts are.

Please educate yourself before you speak

"Disgusting?"

Silly me -- I would have used the term "stupidly disgusting" to describe anyone who refers to the "myth of human caused global climate change."

That's not to say I don't agree with you about the video, though ...
