Initiative Analysis
Initiative 1029 – I-1029 would require additional background checks and training for long-term care workers that work with elderly and disabled persons. I-1029 would require long-term care workers to complete seventy-five hours of course work and a certificate examination by January 1, 2010. I-1029 also would require continuing education requirements for long-term care workers.
